You didn't have to lend me your coat
but I'm not complaining at all.
This rain won't stop coming
drizzling down steady
and I'm glad for something
to cover my head.
In this pouring damp dark
I can hardly see your eyes
but I'm sure they're warm as ever.
Come on, then
you should get inside,
before you catch your death out here
soaked to the skin.
