Another side of you
Bright carpets of green flushed with flowers. Jagged, sharp white peaks reaching up, embracing the sky.
Norway swept his gaze over all of it, took it in, and said nothing.
Whatever he had assumed of France, this wasn't it. He didn't seem the sort to enjoy hiking. So, the offer had surprised him so much that when France had suggested it, Norway accepted, even knowing that he would probably expect more than just his company.
They had stopped for a while for a rest and a bite to eat, and he was sure that France had been strategic with his choice of this particular spot, as it was even prettier than the others they'd seen so far.
Pretty, and quiet.
"Perhaps now you will understand, my dear," France said from where he sat beside him, leaning in close, "that I have more to offer you than you would expect." He really was much too close.
"Aye, I can see that." A pause. "If you showed me more of this side of you, I might decide that I want your company more often."
France's fingertips brushed his own. Norway considered it, then linked their hands together.
He did mean it, really.
