On the ferry
They stood at the railing, the wind blowing in their hair, watching as the land receded from sight. The ferry made its way toward Prince Edward Island, and soon Nova Scotia faded from sight entirely.
"So like, how long will it take us to get there?" Poland asked.
"Oh, not long," Canada replied, looking at his watch. "We'll be there by lunch, I expect."
"And is the sand really red? You know, like they say?"
He chuckled at that. "I did send you that jar full of it, didn't I?"
Unable to argue against that, Poland blushed a bit, fidgeting with his sleeve. "Well yeah, but -- it like might've been from somewhere else, or something, I dunno'...."
"No, no. Don't worry. Soon you'll see for yourself."
