Sunlight
Morning sun slipped through the trees, slinking its way through the bare black branches. From the branches it made its way to the window, scattering on glass before finding its way through the curtains, partly-open. There it met Sweden, who for a while had stood watching the sun rising.
It rested there, warmed his face a bit, and he smiled the slightest of smiles.
It would be a good day, he thought as he turned his head to look inward, his gaze following the line of the sun. It reached in, and the light fell gently over the bed. There Norway remained sleeping, his hair mussed and the blankets drawn up tight around his bare shoulders, having not woken even after Sweden rose from his place beside him, far too exhausted from their time spent together the night before.
That night had been a good one.
As the light warmed his face, Norway opened his eyes, blinked sleepily at Sweden, then smiled a bit.
Perhaps the morning would be a good one as well.
