Bliss [Ecthelion/Glorfindel]
Title: Bliss
Fandom: The Silmarillion
Characters/Pairing: Ecthelion/Glorfindel
Rating: 0+
Length: 12 lines
Summary: Stolen attention, stolen moment, stolen kiss.
Other: Essentially the same poem as Caesura, but in restricted form. 3 stanza/4 lines/4 single-syllable words per line, loosely inspired by some Zhou-era poetry from the Book of Songs. Not a form I'm likely to use often, but it was a fun challenge.
Bliss
You've come to me
to rest your head;
set your gold coils
in my warm hands.
Don't say a word
don't make a sound;
I'll dip my head
and steal your smile.
I'll cease my song
put down my flute;
and give you all
that you came for.
