Sharp fingers of light
pressing through the trees
plucking at the eyes
stinging them with brightness
Feet falling on mossy ground
too much noise
shifting swishing chirping
all the world too alive
The forests move....
And in this heat and light
longing for
breath-fogging cold and
darkness thick as a coat.
