Luminous

See you soon
parting with unspoken feeling
knowing "soon" is relative
grasping "soon" is approaching

Years are seconds in her eyes
what are a few more?

There she waits
standing on the shore again
looking up at her with tired eyes
half-smile on her face

It's good to see you
words like spring days
the swan dips her head
opens herself to hands stroking her neck
a touch soft as flower petals

I've missed you
sighing her reply
and sweeping that soul up
in white wings.
