Vodka and Cider

Vodka and cider
in thin clear spring light
vodka and cider
sending us laughing

I want to walk with you
where Winter still lingers
deep in dark forest
under sighing trees

Turning in sunlight
I'd take your warm hands
where roses whisper
I'd pull you to me

I want to dance with you
where wood bison wandered
deep in dark forest
nodding shaggy heads
