Spring
There are stirrings in Eidsvoll.
He can feel it; voices whispering in his ears, rebellion pumping through his veins. The treaty says one thing, but his people have other ideas.
It's no surprise to anyone, mind. Or at least it shouldn't be.
Norway reads through the drafts by candlelight. He stays up late into the night, tends to these in the smallest hours.
The nights are still long at this time of year, but he can't risk light touching this, not yet.
Sweden sleeps. Does he know?
Norway pinches the candle with ink-stained fingers.
Well. He'll find out soon enough.
