Notes: Building new associations with certain figures. Sometimes traditional symbols don't fit for me, because they don't exist where I live, so I have to make my own associations - ones that are appropriate for my environment.
Devotional #2
This is not a place of willows.
Its cousin aspen resides here.
In the autumn its leaves
blanket the forest with gold.
The oak is a stranger to these woods
but the spruce is just as grand.
Standing tall and straight
they crest the valley, looking skyward.
