A glance down as Sweden takes his hand. Norway watches him brush his thumb over the thin gold ring Norway wears, as if assuring that it's still there.
Norway wonders if he regrets not choosing something broader. The band of white from the one before is still visible even now.
Sweden questioned him on that. Asked where it went. Norway had looked him in the face, said he'd given it back. There was no way for him to know otherwise.
Norway waits. Withdraws. Looks away, hand escaping into his pocket.
He feels Sweden's eyes on him. Ice against bare skin.
