Another one.
Norway broke the seal, unfolded it. Gave it just a glance.
The usual utter nonsense: florid affection written in a hand too strong and bold for the tender words expressed therein. Going on about fondness between brothers-in-arms, how Christiania was too far away from Copenhagen, how he missed the colour of his eyes, and other such rubbish.
Norway sighed. He'd have to reply to it. If he didn't, another would follow soon.
He wrote his response on the diagonal, sliding it neatly in between Denmark's lines, and tried not to think of how closely their words cleaved together.
