"Roberto! Look – I've got it!"
"You've found an explanation for the hoax?"
Roberto took Hiraga's place at the microscope, squinting into it. He didn't understand the complex crystalline structures that met his eyes, nor did he entirely grasp Hiraga's rapid explanation, but the excitement in his partner's voice was palpable.
"The miracle was a vision brought on by ambient hallucinogens!"
"Again?"
As Hiraga elaborated on his discovery, Roberto drew away from the microscope to watch him. Hiraga's eyes were bright. He gestured as he spoke, joyful at having solved the problem.
Roberto knew he would never tire of his brilliance.
