( 回言回) (廿_廿†)೨
"Was it worth it?"
"Hmm?"
"Haulin' yourself over here."
Norway stared up into the dark and waited for Sweden to answer. Even after going to bed they stayed awake for a while, talking quietly. Just talking. Close, but not too close.
Tonight, they'd sleep. Just sleep. Neither of them had said anything about it, but somehow Norway knew that Sweden understood. What he didn't know was whether or not he didn't mind.
He thought of turning over to look at him, even though he knew he wouldn't be able to make out his features. When he'd drawn the curtains shut that night it had left the room black as ink. There wasn't a chance he'd be able to see his face. So, he waited, and listened to the sound of his breathing.
"... 'S always worth it."
"Ah?"
"Mnhm."
Sweden shifted, hesitated for a moment, then slid his arm around Norway's waist. As he nestled closer to him beneath the covers, Norway smiled in the dark. That was the answer he'd wanted.
End.
