Once upon a time, there were two small nations: Suomi and Eesti. And they were good friends, and they spent so much time with one another, always seen together.
Suomi was the more adventurous of the two, and one day he said, "I want to go to the end of the world."
And Eesti said, "But if you go to the end of the world, you'll fall off, and anyway, I'm not sure if there is an end to the world, anyway."
And Suomi said, "But there must be an end, because people say that there is." And Eesti was disinclined to argue with his logic.
And so, Suomi insisted that he would go to see the end of the world, and he would pack up right then to go do it. And Eesti tried to discourage him, but it was no use - He'd go.
And then Suomi said, "You should come with me, Eesti."
And Eesti said, "But I would rather stay home."
"But I would like you to come with me," said Suomi again.
"But you don't know where you're going," Eesti said.
"But I would really like you to come with me," Suomi said for the third time, and he smiled.
And Eesti couldn't tell him no again after that, because Suomi had asked so many times, and someone needed to go look after him to make sure he wouldn't get in too much trouble, and perhaps, perhaps, Eesti wanted a bit of adventure too.
And finally they packed up everything they would need and set out on foot to find the end of the world.
They walked and walked and walked. And along the way, they encountered many adventures, but I will tell you those stories at another time.
And they walked and walked and walked.
And they met many people, but I will tell you those stories at another time.
And they walked and walked and walked.
And then they could not walk any more because they reached the shore in a place they did not recognize. And they did not know what to do, so they walked along it for a time.
And then it got cold. But Suomi didn't mind the cold, and Eesti didn't care about it much either, and so they kept going.
And then it got dark. But Suomi didn't mind the dark, and Eesti wasn't worried because Suomi was there, and so they kept going.
And then there were strange noises in the dark, coming from the sea. And Suomi didn't mind the noises, but Eesti found them frightening.
"Let's go back," Eesti said to Suomi.
"But it can't be far now," Suomi said.
"But I would like to go back," Eesti said to Suomi.
"But I'm sure we'll reach it soon," Suomi said.
"But I really really would like to go back," Eesti said.
And Suomi sighed and looked disappointed but then he agreed that it was time to go back. Because really, what are friends for?
And they went back and on the way they met many people, but I will tell you those stories at another time.
And they went back and they had many adventures, but I will tell you those stories at another time.
And finally they were home. They did not find the end of the world -- but they had found many memories along the way.
And now my story is finished.
