Dip. Swish. Dip. Swish. A sweep of colourful varnish on well-manicured fingernails. Bright green. “And then I said—okay, your other hand, please,” Poland continued, glancing up at his friend, “I said that like, if you’re going to be that way, then you should just like get out of my face, okay?”
“And then what happened?” Hungary asked, raising an eyebrow as she held out her other hand to him.
“Well, we got into this big fight, okay,” he replied, setting to work on the bare nails. “And he almost had me down, right, but then I totally kicked him in the balls.” Poland grinned. “And he like so didn’t see it coming, I’m serious.”
