Morning
Morning sun peeking through the open blinds. The kitchen filled the the scent of coffee, the pot brewing. Breakfast was ready to be made -- nearly. A certain person was still asleep, and was not the sort that took kindly to being woken up even for breakfast, and so Sweden settled down at the kitchen table with a book, not minding the wait for him.
It was not overly long before the sound of slippered feet padding on the hardwood floor announced Poland's arrival - and if it had not, the sound of him yawning certainly did. The yawning was followed by arms wrapping around Sweden's shoulders from behind and a low, drowsy mumble of "G'morning".
"Mornin'," was Sweden's quiet response, slow, pre-coffee rumbling. "Sleep well?"
"Yeah." Another yawn. "What you reading?"
He knew the question was not asked out of genuine interest. It was simply half-asleep idle talk, an excuse for Poland to draw closer, mumble in his ear, nuzzle him sleepily.
Well, Sweden thought as he began to describe it to him, perhaps breakfast could wait.
