Not so simple
If they want to be Swedish so badly, maybe they should just get the hell out and stop being such a pain in the ass.
Åland stared at the computer screen for a moment, sighed, then took another bite of toast. She remembered one thing that Estonia had once said: The thing about online newspaper articles, he had explained, was that you shouldn't read the comments. Really, you shouldn't ever read the comments. It only brings a headache.
Still, she read the comments. Every time, she read the comments, and every time she found herself feeling -- what? Troubled? Maybe. Disappointed? Yes.
She pushed her netbook away and resumed eating breakfast. If only it could be as simple as just taking a boat over there and declaring herself Swedish territory. If only.
