On the subject of socks
“He’s a weird one, all right,” Finland said as he slid his glass across the table to Norway.
“Weird?” His friend raised an eyebrow as he poured him another drink. “Suppose y’could put it that way.”
It was an ordinary evening on an ordinary Friday and the topic had turned to Sweden, which was not entirely out of the ordinary.
“Weird,” Finland repeated. He caught the glass as Norway slid it back to him. “Weird and gay.”
“So are you.”
“Not the point.”
Norway shrugged. Finland continued. “He folds his socks. Don’t tell me that isn’t weird.”
There was a silence. Norway stared at him. Finland grinned and took a long drink, pleased that his point had been made.
