Title: Evidence
Characters/Pairing: Iwamine Shuu
Rating: E
Length: 200 words
Summary: Someone has been tampering with his desk.
Other: Part of a prescribed treatment for Bird Flu: 1 drabble per day for a week. *Level of abstraction: Humanised, but not humanoid. Think Disney's TLK or The Rescuers.
Evidence
Someone had touched his desk.
There was no question of it. Whoever had done so had made an attempt to put the files back as neatly as they had found them, but to his eye, it was obvious that they had been disturbed.
Doctor Iwamine Shuu frowned and stared into the open drawer for a moment longer. There was no need for him to touch the papers, or stir their position, or reach in and see for himself. All he needed to do was look.
They were out of order.
Someone had touched them. His thoughts went to a certain bird. Yes, that one was the likely suspect. He would have to have a - "talk" with him. That decided, he pursed his lips, pushed up his glasses, and moved to shut the drawer - but stopped as something caught his attention.
Oh. Hohoho, what is this-
He took up the evidence with precision and care, trapping it with tweezers and lifting it up to inspect it more closely. The grim look that had held his face eased into a smile.
How interesting.
The strand of hair before his eyes certainly had not come from any bird.
How very interesting indeed.
