Her mind is made
from stolen thoughts
stolen words
voice of billions streaming
down electronic pathways
egg-shaped gel
cool to the touch
organized, chaotic.
The hand that forged her
took as he pleased:
faces, lips, eyes
the lilt of a voice,
the tug of a mouth
put her together from multitudes.
Stolen voices
stolen faces
stolen words
stolen minds
billions coming to make one:
smooth-flowing and liquid
organic movement
the snap of electricity smoothly
slipping through
to form words, voice, thought.
Disorganized, systematic
artificial, realistic
one mind
one voice
more real than
the smith expected
when he set forth with his hammer
and forged her from stolen thoughts.
