To have that night again
Hannu remembers that first night.
The hands. The brush of fingertips. Fingernails dragging on his bare skin.
That lightheaded feeling. Teeth blooming bruises on his lips.
Woodsmoke. The sound of the night outside their tent. Frogs and crickets. The scent of him, soap and alcohol and insect repellent.
There have been other times. But he keeps coming back to the first time, keeps playing it through his head at night. On the nights when Joona isn't with him. Which is most nights.
And he wouldn't ask, but he can't deny that this is something he would want to live again.
